What is a photographer?

Are you the designated photographer in your group of friends? Always ready to snap a picture? You’re becoming a photographer! Photographers take pictures of everything from people to wildlife to shoes! But they do more than just push a button. They understand how to use light, how to work with camera equipment and how to develop film. They may also set scenes for their photographs, so every snap produces a work of art.

How much education do you need?

Most photographer careers require a bachelor’s degree.

Creativity
Photographers have to think creatively to get great shots and make their work stand out from all the rest.
Teamwork

Practice using your noodle! Photographers need to research new equipment, identify good locations and find ways to get unique shots.
