What is an epidemiologist?
Smoking is very bad for your health. Epidemiologists will tell you exactly why. Epidemiologists study the harmful effects of chemicals, diseases and stress on human bodies. They also investigate and monitor infectious diseases, from chickenpox to tuberculosis, and track the number of people getting sick. Using their excellent research and communication skills, epidemiologists help educate communities on health risks, so fewer people get sick.

How much education do you need?
Most epidemiologist careers require a master’s degree or a Ph.D., M.D. or J.D. (law degree).

SKILLS YOU NEED
